Questions
Garden harvest report FAQ
What is a garden harvest report?
It's a short summary of your growing season, usually two pages: which plants you grew, when you planted and harvested them, and how long each took. A long list of plants can run onto extra pages. Some gardeners keep it as a simple garden log, and others print it for their records.
Is this garden harvest tracker really free?
Yes. Making and downloading the PDF is free, with no account and no watermark. If you want, you can add your email at export to join our mailing list, but that's optional.
How do I use it as a garden log template?
Enter each crop with its dates and download the PDF. Do it once at the end of the season, or update it as you go. Next year you can compare dates and see what to plant earlier or later.
Can I print the report?
Yes. The PDF is laid out for A4 paper, so you can print it and add it to a binder or garden notebook.
What should I write down in a garden journal?
The basics are what you planted, planting date, first and last harvest dates, and how it did. Photos and notes about weather, pests or varieties help too. The report covers the plants and dates, and you can add the rest by hand.
How do I keep a garden journal as a beginner?
Start small. Write down each crop with the date you plant it and the date you harvest it. Add a short note when something goes well or badly. A year of simple entries is more useful than a detailed journal you give up on.
Does it work for a vegetable garden, an allotment or a homestead?
Yes. It works for any growing space, from a few pots to a large vegetable garden or a whole homestead. You just list what you grew.
Is there an app to track my harvest all season?
Yes. Harvest Journal is a free-to-start mobile app that logs harvests as you pick them, with photos and notes, and works offline. The report tool is a quick way to try the idea on the web.
Is my data saved or shared?
We don't store your data. The QR code and shareable link contain your crops, yields and dates encoded in the URL. Photos, notes, and plans are saved only in the PDF.
